In collaboration with Wieden+Kennedy, we took a trip to Barcelona with Babbel to discover just how much English speakers miss out on abroad by not speaking the local language.

The social campaign invited unsuspecting British tourists to enjoy a series of extraordinary, all-expenses-paid experiences — from yachts and helicopters to personal butlers and €5,000 spending money — with one simple catch: they only had to say “sí.”

Part of Babbel’s Be a Better Brit Abroad campaign, the film playfully exposed the limits of the British approach to travel and language, using humour, irony and human behaviour to make a simple point: life’s better when you speak the language.
